Terms of Service
Last updated September 27, 2026
AlertAny is a device and temperature monitoring service operated by IV Computer ("we," "us," "IV Computer"). By creating an account or using AlertAny, you agree to these terms.
1. The service
AlertAny checks that your devices are reachable and/or that your temperature sensors stay within a range you configure, and alerts you by email, text, and/or phone call when something changes. It is a monitoring and notification tool, not a guarantee - it does not prevent equipment failure, and we cannot guarantee that every alert will be delivered (a carrier outage, a full inbox, or a network problem on your end can all prevent a notification from reaching you). AlertAny should be one part of how you watch critical equipment, not the only one.
2. Free trial
A new self-serve account includes a 14-day free trial - no card required to sign up or to add devices. During the trial, monitoring and alerts (email, text, and call) work normally. If you haven't added a valid card by the end of the 14 days, monitoring keeps running and your check history keeps recording, but alerts stop going out until you add one - adding a card at any point turns alerts back on immediately.
3. Billing
Unless your account is marked as comped (free) by us:
You are billed $2.00 per month for each device that is turned on ("Active") in your account. A device you turn off doesn't count.
Billing runs on the 1st of each month. If you start (or add devices) partway through a month, that partial period is combined into your next regular invoice rather than charged separately right away.
Payment is processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
Once you've added a card and are an active subscriber, if a payment fails we'll flag it on your account and may follow up, but we will not stop monitoring or silence your alerts over a billing problem alone - that protection is separate from, and does not extend, an expired free trial with no card on file.
4. Cancellation
You can cancel at any time from your account's billing settings, or by asking us. Cancelling stops future billing - it does not refund the period you've already paid for, and your service continues normally through the end of that period before it ends. There are no long-term contracts.
5. Your account
You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for the accuracy of the contact information (phone numbers, email addresses) you configure to receive alerts. We may suspend an account that we believe is being used to abuse the service or violate these terms. To keep text and call alerts reliable and reasonably priced for everyone, each alert profile is limited to 10 SMS recipients and 10 call recipients; email recipients are not limited.
6. Data and what happens if you leave
Your device configuration and check history belong to you. If you cancel, we retain your data for a reasonable period in case you want to come back, then delete it; if you'd like it deleted sooner or exported first, contact us. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle your information.
7. Limitation of liability
AlertAny is provided "as is." To the fullest extent permitted by law, IV Computer is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages - including lost inventory, spoiled goods, or business interruption - arising from a missed or delayed alert, service outage, or similar issue. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim arose.
8. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the service changes. We'll post the updated version here with a new "last updated" date; continuing to use AlertAny after a change means you accept the update.
