This describes what AlertAny, operated by IV Computer, collects and how it's used. AlertAny is a B2B monitoring tool - we collect what we need to run the service and contact you about it, nothing more.
What we collect
Account info - your name, email, password (stored securely, never in plain text), and optionally a mobile number.
Device configuration - the names, addresses, and temperature ranges you enter for the things you're monitoring.
Check history - the reachability/temperature results our monitoring produces, kept for the retention period your account is configured for, so you have history and reports to look back on.
Billing info - handled by Stripe, our payment processor. We receive your subscription status and invoice history from Stripe, never your full card number.
How we use it
To run the service you signed up for: checking your devices, sending you the alerts you configured, showing you your history and reports, and billing you if your account isn't comped. We don't sell your data, and we don't use it for advertising.
Who we share it with
Only the vendors that make the service work: Stripe for payment processing, Twilio for text messages and phone calls, and Microsoft for sending alert emails. Each only receives what it needs to do its part (Stripe gets billing details, Twilio gets the phone numbers you've configured for alerts, Microsoft relays the emails). We don't share your data with anyone else, and we never sell it.
How long we keep it
Check history is kept for the retention period configured on your account (visible and adjustable in system settings). If you cancel your account, we keep your data for a reasonable window in case you return, then delete it - contact us any time to have it deleted or exported sooner.
Your choices
You control what contact info is on file and which alert channels are turned on. You can update or remove your information, or ask us to delete your account entirely, at any time by contacting us.
Security
Passwords are never stored in plain text, sessions use secure cookies, and two-factor authentication is available on every account. We take reasonable technical measures to protect your data, but no system is perfectly secure - if you believe your account has been compromised, contact us right away.
