Getting started

Most accounts are up and monitoring their first device within a few minutes. Here's the whole flow.

1. Create your account

Sign up with your name, company, and email - no card required. You're signed in immediately and get a 14-day free trial with full monitoring and alerting.

2. Add your first device

From the Devices page, click "Add device" and give it a name, a location, and an address to check - an IP address or hostname for a reachability check (ping, or a specific port), or set it up as a temperature device if it reports sensor readings instead.

3. Set up who gets alerted

The first time you add a device with nothing monitoring it yet, AlertAny prompts you right there to create an Alert Profile - who to notify (email, text, and/or a phone call), how often to check, and how long to wait before declaring a device down. That profile then applies automatically to every device you add afterward, so this is a one-time step for most accounts. You can fine-tune it any time from Alert profiles, including quiet hours and repeat-alert timing.

4. Add more devices and sensors as you go

Add as many devices as you need - routers, servers, POS systems, security panels, freezer and cooler sensors, anything with an IP address or a reporting sensor. Each new device picks up your existing Alert Profile automatically unless you assign a different one.

5. Explore the status board and kiosk display

The Status board gives you a live, color-coded view of your whole fleet, built for a second monitor. The Kiosk display is the same idea with no login required - open it on a TV or tablet in an office or lobby and leave it running.

6. Pull a report when you need one

The Temperature report and Device report pages cover any date range, as a chart or a table, and export as a PDF or an email - or set either one up as a recurring daily, weekly, or monthly emailed report instead of pulling it by hand.

7. Add a card before (or after) day 14

Your trial includes full alerting for 14 days with no card needed. Whenever you're ready - from My account, or right from a reminder banner near the end of your trial - add a card to keep alerts going at $2/device/month. Monitoring and your check history never stop, even if a trial lapses before you add one.
